Umami, the newest addition to the Kensington & Chelsea restaurant scene, is perfectly located on Cromwell Road, just around the corner from Gloucester Road underground station.
Umami (the word literally means “ A pleasant savoury taste” and is the 5th basic taste after sweet, salty, bitter and sour), offers a range of authentic dishes from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam as well as some newer signature dishes. Many dishes are available in two sizes “Tasting Portions” and “Sharing Portions”, encouraging guests to share and try many of the unique flavours, whilst the set Tasting Menus offer an effortless way to dine your way around the South China Sea.
All this can be enjoyed in an informal yet stylish contemporary setting with design influenced by a Feng Shui Master from Singapore. Background music featuring jazz and classics from the swing era adds to the chic atmosphere of Umami.
Private groups up to 90 can also be catered for.
